Community Engagement Corporate Commission

Over the summer Pop Cycle was contracted by Carmarthenshire County Council to provide healthy ice lollies for community engagement events in Llanelli, West Wales. The programme was designed by the Transforming Tyshia team as part of the regeneration project. Other community support organisations from the council were invited as well as the library and a team from People Speak Up.

Pop Cycle was chosen by organiser Lorena as they wanted something fun, to encourage healthy eating and environmentally conscious. The Strawberry Smacker with local Gower strawberries, reduced sugar Lemonade and zero sugar Watermelon – were really popular.

Over 350 fruity ice lollies were given to people attending the 3 events in parks and community centres. We also collected and composted ALL the packs.
